Rebels Gaming amplía sus divisiones compitiendo en EA Sports FC 24

Tras el anuncio a finales de 2023 de que Rebels Gaming competiría en Counter Strike 2 y, tras varios meses de éxito donde el equipo alcanzó la fase de main stage de la IEM Katowice y las semifinales de ESL Challenger Melbourne, el club ha anunciado que amplía las disciplinas en las que participa con EA Sports FC 24.
Así, el equipo de esports fundado por David De Gea en 2021, entra de lleno en el mundo de los simuladores deportivos, terreno naturalmente relacionado con el futbolista, con el punto de mira puesto en los torneos internacionales de la DreamHack de Dallas y Jönköping, en Estados Unidos y Suecia, respectivamente.
El joven granadino José “Jotaba” González será el elegido para representar a Rebels Gaming en EA FC 24. José es un habitual en las competiciones virtuales del juego anteriormente conocido como FIFA y ha jugado esta última temporada representando al Elche CF.
Tras haber competido en clubes como el RC Celta y el Real Oviedo, como coach de la división estará Pablo “Zamo15” Zamorano, que acompañará a “Jotaba” en los torneos y supervisará su rendimiento.
El objetivo de ambos es lograr clasificarse a la recientemente anunciada Esports World Cup de Riyadh, un torneo que pondrá en juego 1.000.000€ en premios y que se disputará en el mes de agosto.
Con este anuncio, Rebels Gaming sigue expandiendo su marca a otros territorios y público, compitiendo actualmente en League of Legends, Counter Strike 2 y, ahora, en EA Sports FC 24. El club continúa con su objetivo de afianzarse como una marca sólida y estable dentro del sector de los esports.

After announcing at the end of 2023 that Rebels Gaming would compete in Counter-Strike 2, and following several months of success where the team reached the main stage of the IEM Katowice and the semifinals of ESL Challenger Melbourne, the club has now announced its expansion into EA Sports FC 24.
Thus, the esports team founded by David De Gea in 2021 is entering the realm of sports simulators, a field naturally related to the footballer, with their sights set on the international tournaments at DreamHack Dallas and Jönköping, in the United States and Sweden, respectively.
The young talent from Granada, José “Jotaba” González, has been chosen to represent Rebels Gaming in EA FC 24. José is a regular in virtual competitions of the game formerly known as FIFA and has played this past season representing Elche CF.
Having competed for clubs such as RC Celta and Real Oviedo, he will be the coach of the division, accompanying “Jotaba” in tournaments and overseeing his performance.
Their goal is to qualify for the recently announced Esports World Cup in Riyadh, a tournament featuring a prize pool of €1,000,000, set to take place in August.
